From Script to Performance

From Script to Performance.

This class explores an approach to character development rooted in the collaborative work between American acting pioneers and Konstantin Stanislavsky. Students will participate in a detailed breakdown of a realistic play starting with an analysis of the playwrights idea. In the rehearsal process students will acquire a full understanding of the text and all character relationships, so they are prepared to move seamlessly from rehearsal to performance level work. All the tools of a technique will be used so that character choices are clear, specific and motivating.
