Acting Technique

Students will engage in exercises that emphasize the actor’s creative process, by unlocking the fundamentals of technique and script analysis, including: examining given circumstances, building rich character backgrounds, understanding the social context that shapes dramatic action, connecting to the text experientially, and transforming homework into actable choices.

The technique teaches actors to honor the writer’s intentions while finding the “road in” to their most talented choices, thereby uncovering their own unique interpretation of the role.
